Alliance Medical Center is currently seeking a Director of Compliance and Risk Management:

What you will do at AMC:


Reporting to AMC’s CEO, the Director of Risk and Compliance provides leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality, patient care services at AMC.  Oversees regulatory compliance program, develops and maintains a written regulatory compliance plan and annual evaluation of the plan’s effectiveness; ensures that all required elements of a governing compliance program are addressed.  Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to the regulatory compliance program.  Partners with HR in maintaining AMC’s Code of Conduct and collaborates with HR to produce high quality operational risk management training for AMC Staff and Board members ensuring all AMC agents receive appropriate training to promote a positive, optimistic, and effective control culture.   In consultation with the CEO, submits mandatory notification of known or suspected regulatory compliance violations to the appropriate regulatory agencies.  Develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and related laws and regulations as mandated or recommended by OIG, CMS, and other agencies; attends outside corporate compliance trainings provided by outside agencies as directed by the CEO.  Oversees a corporate wide risk management program, develops and maintains a written corporate risk management plan, and annual evaluation of the plan’s effectiveness.  Reviews incident reports and conducts follow up investigations related to patient care as warranted.  Investigates and evaluates claims and potential claims related to patient care, partnering with HR as needed.  Collaborates with the Medical Director in the investigation of clinical events including sentinel events, sentinel event near misses, and significant adverse events; leads and/or participates in the development of root cause analyses as directed by the Medical Director.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or Bachelors degree an 3+ years of experience working in the healthcare field required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including excellent oral and written communication skills, required.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare clinical fundamentals, patient safety standards, and performance improvement standards, required.
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement tools and techniques, required.
  • Ability to perform data analytics, and lead performance improvement teams, required.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of applicable software programs including reporting portals, required.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, required.
  • Flexibility with schedule as needed, required.
